Albany County Sheriff James Campbell is holding a police auction at 10 a.m. at Dott's Garage at 1177 Central Ave. Among the items up for police auction; 1954 Jaguar XK 120 drophead coupe with 28,000 miles, totally restored and a 1995 Porsche 911 convertible, dark blue, tan leather, manual transmission with only 10,000 miles, both which were confiscated from a former Wall Street broker, who seven years ago pleaded guilty to swindling clients and now has to satisfy a judgment against him of more than $1.4 million.

Police Auction Dates For Saugus Massachusetts

The Saugus Police Department in Massachusetts is having a car auction Saturday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. to auction 15 to 20 vehicles that were either seized by the police department's Drug Enforcement Unit or were previously used as town police cars. Preview and registration will be from 9 to 10 a.m. and the silent police auction will take place between 10 and 11 a.m. Here are some of the cars up for auction:

Police Stop Online Auction Fraud

A British Colombia man stands accused of stealing nearly $100,000 from a phony online car auction. The Calgary Police Service allege the suspect set up online auction for classic cars - one for a 1967 Corvette, the other for a 1932 vintage Ford - and swindled two would-be buyers for nearly $100,000 together. Kurtis Eugene Pomerleau is now charged with two counts each of fraud over $5,000 and theft over $5,000 but police said more auction victims are still expected to step forward.
